I had a lot of questions growing up. A LOT. Unfortunately, answers were very hard to come by at my childhood home -- especially when it came to this taboo topic.
I was honored to recently appear on stage at DC’s legendary Black Cat as part of Story District’s Man vs Nature show. Here’s a little story about a bad job, a pair of khakis, and the will to survive. Enjoy!
It was the first Wednesday of February, and Dupont Circle's legendary Bier Baron Tavern and DC Comedy Loft once again welcomed back Perfect Liars Club for a mid-week dose of rowdy revelry. The chill of winter and the previous evening's State of the Union address did little to deter another sold-out crowd from taking roost in every available seat. Four months had passed since DC's best and brightest caught a liar in the act? Would they return to their sleuthing ways tonight?
It was the second Wednesday of January, and an absolutely packed Bier Baron Tavern and DC Comedy Loft played host to the first Perfect Liars Club of the new year. The government shutdown, the frosty temperatures, and the post-holiday doldrums did little to dampen the spirits of the rowdy, sold-out crowd. Electricity was in the air. It was as if everyone in attendance knew that we all were in for a very special night.
