I'm honored to once again return to the Story District (formerly SpeakEasyDC) stage to share a story about one of my life's more revealing moments. 

Named the “gold standard” in storytelling by the Washington Post, voted one of the top 3 open mics in DC by the Washington City Paper, and nominated for the 2012 DC Mayor's Arts Awards for Innovation in the Arts, Story District is one of the most well-known and respected storytelling organizations in the country. Their monthly storytelling series has been taking place on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in Washington, DC since 1997. Over the years, they've added tons of other shows and events, but the monthly show remains Story District's backbone.
